The League are fired upon by Hawkman's Thanagarian cruiser causing them to all attain the same height and weight. Having returned to Thanagar some time before, Hawkman found his people subject to a disease that equalized them and before he could prevent it, was infected himself. By attacking the League, he was able to absorb some of their powers - though they in turn were equalized - before heading off to find the Equalizer himself, the alien who had infected Thanagar.The Leaguers band together and using their combined willpower, use Green Lantern's ring to follow Hawkman's craft. Hawkman alone is unable to overcome the Equalizer but with the help of the Leaguers, the Equalizer is driven away. Back at the satellite, Hawkman is granted membership in the League once more and swears to cure Thanagar. 25c cover-priced issues begin.
