“Batman: A Death in the Family” Trade Paperback (1988)
First printing, collecting Batman #426-429, also known as the “A Death in the Family” story arc. Featuring the talents of some serious comic book heavyweights: Jim Starlin (writer), Jim Aparo (pencils), Mike DeCarlo (inks) and Mike Mignola (cover artist). Tells the story of the death of the second Robin, Jason Todd, at the hands of the Joker. But there was a twist: DC took an unusual route in determining Todd’s fate when the book was released. Two 1-900 numbers were printed on the back of issue #427, letting readers decide between life or death for Jason. Both versions of the story were written, and after only just over 30 hours, readers voted to end the Second Boy Wonder by a margin of only around 70 votes. It was an iconic moment in the comics industry!
Now it's been announced that Jason Todd will be returning in a new animated series entitled “Dynamic Duo.” Near mint- condition.
